Harwell was another day in the Sunday calendar (11th February); I gather we have been
there before but not for a while. Ray, not EKL I have to add, but G3LQC
also offered to help and alongside the other Service stands we had
a good time. Many people commented how nice it was to see all three
Services there again at the Show. Rather than the backs of peoples' heads
I have included some show photographs, which illustrate how well-packed it
was. From three years ago when I was there, it is much expanded, and it
was good to see that the refreshments were sensibly priced as well as
the goods on sale. Being a "green radio man" I did not see much of
interest and I think it was more for the constructor, with only one
bric-à-brac stall.Didcot Leisure Centre, Mereland Road, Didcot By 14.00 just about everybody had had enough, the bargains had all changed hands, and the dealers were left with loading up again. If anybody is interested I have part of the Storno Bomb disposal SHOREACRE radio system to dispose of from a Member who hoped it could find a good home - Any interest?
