MARCONI DAY celebratory card - Poldhu to St.John's, Newfoundland

Tom uses his 1920s REFLEX (regenerative) Receiver on occasion
Tom's devotion to detail and precision in his operating standards, his many writings for "MERCURY", and his circuit diagrams go before him - he has earned a high reputation for all of these talents. It is not surprising therefore to see the same attributes so brilliantly displayed in his home-made QSL cards.
His extensive knowledge of all things "Marconi" is hardly equalled within the amateur radio fraternity and of course figures much in his cards and activity.

The card referring to the home-constructed REPLICA WW2 PARASET leads interested parties to an 8-page comprehensive article and diagrams published by Tom in the March 2004 issue of the Society's journal.

WW2 PARASET reproduction made by the skilled and dedicated hands of Tom Tom, using his replica of the set, has contacted on several occasions, with good copy, the countries in which it was used during the Second World War. He has also had contacts with 19 European countries including Malta. So far he has worked 57 RSARS Members in a total of 240 contacts since November 2003 - and all with 3W of RF from one valve!
