With a density of 25.3 in 104,000 square miles, this country of the South Pacific allows plenty of room for aerials - the United Kingdom has a slightly smaller area but its density is 597. Of the 4.1m people in New Zealand RSARS claims a dozen licensed radio amateurs and we commence featuring them here.

The idea of this page came from Tony, ZL3HAM who is pictured below with his wife Liz, the holder of the eponymous callsign ZL3LIZ.
and they tell us "the photo was taken before we moved out of town and
into the country with lashings of room to erect antennas and plenty of
fresh air. We had a large garage/shack built and are in the process of fitting out the shack and digging holes to erect our tower (45'). Hopefully in a week or two I can use the tractor to lift the base and first section in place in
readiness to pour the concrete. We have many trees so can also string up a
few long wires. When the work is done Tony can then get on the RSARS Nets and have a chat with the other lads."
