RSARS RALLY REPORTS No.44

Your Area Rally Representative was at it again over the weekend of 20/21st June, first at the Dunsfold(Surrey) Landrover Show and then at the Newbury(Berks) Radio Rally.
Both were great days - we took the marquee along, but it was so sunny and warm that it was never used, and stayed "parked" on the Landrover roof.
Considerable interest in the 1960's radio display in the Landrover, and some contacts made with the magnetic loop antenna and the amateur rig. It's always difficult to try and operate and satisfy the needs of customers and of those just interested and sharing their past experiences of Royal Signals at the same time.
It was great to have Mario - "selling" his antenna theory and Mike pedalling along with us. No new members this time but once a again a good sales weekend, and many signing-in at Newbury.
The Newbury Show (NEWBURY & DISTRICT AMATEUR RADIO SOCIETY) is in a new and VERY much improved location, right by the side of the A34 and a yard or three from the M4; plenty of room for expansion although the area was well filled, this year.
