We had a great Rally at Flight Refuelling, Merley, Oakleigh, near Wimborne, Dorset, this year. The location is great and as the photographs show there is a real steam railway on site, when one gets totally bored looking for bargains!The visitor level seemed to be up and the sales of Society Stores were certainly increased - probably the best over the last two years. As usual it was good to see familiar faces again as well as people from "home" in Blandford, just a few miles down the road. The tasks on Saturday 9th August seemed impossible, putting up the marquee in the wind and rain, then overnight holding it down in the gale. But Sunday! Well that was another story, just the wind to contend with and bright blue skies for most of the day. What a relief! The XYL kept the staff supplied with refreshments, while our Labrador kept some visitors amused by just lying there and being petted.
