If anyone had bothered to listen to the weather forecasts for 17/18th May the weekend held no promise to be a good one.I did listen and decided it would not happen, and until 0930 on Saturday it didn't. Then just as the Stand was all set up, and before any visitors could have arrived it started, to drip a little bit, then it did more, then the covers came on - and unfortunately that was it for the rest of the day. WET! It was good to chat to a few Members but the covers did not come off until about 1900 when finally stopped, so the pictures show what should have been - but really wasn't - due to the rain! Now Sunday was entirely different, although we were not so far away at Luton. A lively warm day; a bright sunny and windy day. The Rally itself was excellent, with very many outdoor stalls. There were some bargains to be sure, but the bits and pieces were back and this what many people see attractive about radio Rallies. A good number of Members signed in and we were VERY pleased to see them. Some accepted the challenge of buying something and no less a VIP than G4ETG came and shook a hand: Sir, great to see you - I am told this is the first time RSARS has been to Luton for many a year.
