If you would like a certificate then, if in UK send 2 x 2nd class stamps or an A5 stamped S.A.E. with 1 x 2nd class stamp, or £1.00; if outside of the United Kingdom then US$1 or AU$1 or €1 with QSL to GØSWY, 4 Bluebell Road, Bassett, Southampton, Hampshire SO16 3LQ (and NOT to the QSL Bureau). GENERAL SOCIETY MEMBERS' ACTIVITY |
KA3CSR
Bob endeavours to check 21056kHz most days around 1300Z for likely RSARS CW contacts.
|
VA3TRM
Terry checks 21170kHz and 21056kHz every Thursday at 1300Z for possible RSARS contacts.
Terry also uses VA3SIG and VE3RCS |
I2VRF
Giancarlo is active again in spite of his severe illness - he tells us "I am invalid because of a rare muscle disease (without therapy) and I pass my "long" days on the bed but I operate on CW from the bed with a long wire for the key or the paddles (SSB is too difficult for the adjustements required and my wife is a chemist, not a radio amateur). I am QRV each day on 14056-14058 KHz or 10118-10123 KHz from 8 to 10 UTC or from 13 to 15 UTC"
You can contact him by e-mail at giancarlo.vaia@tin.it

4X/G3XSN
Bert announced he would be in Israel from 6th September for at least 3 weeks. He intended
(providing weight was acceptable to the air carrier) to take his Yaesu FT707 and a W3DZZ trapped
dipole. His previous experience shows that 15m is the best band during the
daytime and he expected to be QRV on 14056kHz and 21065kHz (both CW frequencies). He was
be staying in one place so would inform members of his QTH "as and when".

The former from 4th to 16th September inclusive.
The latter in the Dordogne from 18th to 22nd September inclusive.
Most activity CW 14056-14040kHz, but would have 40m antenna to use if conditions proved favourable.

MØAWW
Bill will be in Spain from mid-November 2004 until the third week of April 2005. Look for EA5/MØAWW on 20m (probably CW).

G3RWF
Nick will be QRV from V5 and ZS from time to time during period 12th November 2004 to 9th January 2005:-
- As V5/G3RWF - 12 Nov to 26 Nov. He is on the move throughout this period so will be very portable and can't guarantee anything! He will look/call on 14056kHz and also 18085kHz (whichever proves to be better). If conditions perk up he will also look on 21056kHz. Likely to be CW-only because antenna will be simple.
- As ZS1/G3RWF from 27 Nov to 9 Jan - but especially during last three weeks when he will be in one place (at Knysna). Same frequencies.
He will text-message if within mobile phone range to let people know he is on the air. "I hope to make some QSOs - although this is not anything too ambitious in terms of amateur radio. Would welcome suggestions of times to be looking to VK (I have good idea about G to ZS times)."
Finally - a "coming shortly" - Nick is now licensed again as 5Z4LS and is aiming to air the call again in the Spring of 2005 (after a 34 year gap!. Further details later.

ZC4LI (ex 5B4AHA and other calls)
Steve says that he always tries to be on the WARC bands on weekday afternoons, and spends most of the weekends doing contests. He much prefers CW, RTTY and a bit of PSK. He was worked from G-land on 24.906MHz on 23 Oct 04 and was in fact on 17m earlier this week on CW.
Please note he only QSL’s direct.
