F/G3PNF
Going to France for a week from 3rd - 10th September. Operating from late on the 3rd to late on the 9th. Should be on 80, 40, and 20 metres, mostly on CW with the N2DAN key, NOTE! and its associated Affiliated number.

XV2LC and XV4LC
Greetings to all RSARS Members.
I will be on a DX-Vocation, returning back to Vietnam 12th August 2010 to 10th September 2010.
There will be remedial repair work on the antennas in Ho Chi Minh City and to activate my old station XV2LC again. I know I have worked 75% of our active members on Phone or CW and this trip an RSARS Affiliated number F292 has been allocated to lift the challenge (thanks to Mike GØSWY) .
I will spend the time as required to get you all, if conditions allow, 20m and 40m may be the key!! I may also be operating from the West Coast north from Vung Tau at a seaside location of Ho Coc where I did operate the low bands in 2007.

As a 'special' from the deep south, I will operate from the majestic tropical Mekong Delta Province as XV4LC, dedicated to RSARS.
Where? Near the famous floating Mekong River "Cai Rang" floating markets in Can Tho (pronounced as "Con Ker") and also the possibility from a rice farm near Soc Trang located on the Mekong River Plains.
This operation will be predominately CW with some SSB using all portable equipment as power supply problems are a concern during daylight, as in these parts you cannot hire generators, so it may be batteries at their best or midnight oil?

I will post my final operating schedule before I depart Perth on the 12th August, this will include where and when including band operations etc!!
Alan VK6PG will also help me with info from our members as email services out side of Ho Chi Minh City is unreliable.
I will also be able to inform Alan how I am going and messages can be passed onto you.

If you have any questions or requests before I depart, please contact me - VK6LC@bigpond.com

LATEST NEWS
via VK6PG

22nd August 2010
Mal is travelling south from Ho Chi Minh City this Tuesday (24 August) to (I presume XV4) the country where he has access to a 20 metre beam antenna, and hopefully the QRN will be much diminished. Mal hopes to be operational looking for RSARS stations from Wednesday until Saturday inclusive.
For the UK times are 1400 - 1800Z on 14.056

31st August 2010
I am attending hospital treatment here in Vung Tau for the next 5 days and looks that I will have no time to attempt operation as XV4LC. My leg injury occurred while setting up a huge 160m antenna with which I did really well on CW.

5B/G3RWF
Off to Cyprus Tuesday 7th September 2010 for 16 days (to 23rd September).
